The Looks Collection

I finally got my hands on One Direction’s new make-up line – “The Looks Collection.” The line comprises of three tins, each inspired by the group’s hit albums “Up All Night, “Take Me Home” and “Midnight Memories.” Each tin has a different colour palette and includes an eye shadow, cream shadow, liner, mascara, lipstick, lip gloss and nail varnish. 

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a complete package whore.  I love fun colours, designs, boxes, ribbons, logos, typography and all that fun stuff.  This make-up line definitely fits the bill for fun packaging. I think the tin is great, especially for hack storage ideas.  I mean, why not?!

The “Take Me Home” collection is quite fun. Lots of sparkles to go round.  My everyday favourites from the package are the “Kiss You” Liquidlights Glow Gloss, the “Little Black Dress” voluminzing mascara in perfectly black and the “Live While We’re Young” multi-dimensional gold glitter nail varnish.  The gloss leaves a nice sheer finish which is great for work or school. I don’t know about you but I can’t be bothered wearing heavy lipstick to work so this kind of gloss is perfect. The mascara, of course, is a must for everyday wear. Love the length and thickness it gives. And for a little fun, I tried the nail varnish over black polish. Love the look. Good girl gone edgy!

I think young girls will love this stuff. It’s just in time for back to school too. All three tins are already available in the U.S. at Macy’s. Then starting August 25th you can pick up your collectable tin at Stage Stores, Dillards, Beauty Brands and Lord and Taylor.
