November Beauty Haul ft. Kat Von D and Marc Jacobs Beauty

I love trying out new beauty products so November means beauty for my monthly favourites blog post.

This fall I’ve been obsessed with bright lipsticks and bold eyes. I’ve also noticed a changed in my skin as the weather gets colder so I’ve started experimenting with eye creams.

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick set

Come weekend time, I’m all about the red lipstick. The Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick Set has all the red I’ll ever need. My two favourite colours from the set so far are Countess and Bachelorette. Countess has a slight orange tint to it. I like it because it’s still va va voom, but a nice alternative to a rouge red like Ruby Woo. Bachelorette is a very deep red with a slight pinky tint. It sinks right into my lip like a second layer of skin. They’re both highly pigmented, so you know the colour last till the next day. I love how they both make my complexion look brighter. The matte formula is true so I use both with a creme lip liner from M.A.C to add a bit of moisture so my lips don’t dry out. Even when I’m wearing a super casual outfit – like boyfriend jeans and a leather jacket – I still feel chic and pulled together in these lippies. I can’t wait to try out the rest of the colours in the set.

M.A.C Brow Pencil in Spiked

When I first started filling in my brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pencil.  But after colouring my hair a deep #1 black – I wanted to up my brow game to an even deeper colour. I wanted to have dark hair, bold brows and bright lips. So I recently made the switch over to M.A.C’s Brow Pencil in Spiked and it gave me the look I was after. Obviously, even with black hair, I don’t want to fill in my brows with a black pencil. But M.A.C’s Brow Pencil still gives it a dark, sexy look.

M.A.C's Fast Response Eye Cream

This Fall I’ve noticed some changes in my skin. Particularly around my eye area. Thus, I’ve started experimenting with eye creams. Since I was in M.A.C anyway, I picked up their Fast Response Eye Cream. It does apply easily with no greasy feeling and it’s not too heavy which I really like. So far so good but I’m going to keep my eyes out (no pun intended) for some other brands to try.

O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara}

For the longest time I only used a clear mascara. But after colouring my hair a deep black, I knew I needed something to bring my lashes to the forefront (without falsies). I received a sample of Marc Jacobs Beauty
 O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara, with a recent Sephora order and I absolutely fell in love with it! I like how this mascara lengthens my lashes. My lashes are naturally super curly so by straightening them out a little bit, it makes them look longer. But without clumps and the look of being heavily coated – which I don’t like at all.
