M.A.C Pro Longwear Lipglass

MAC Pro Longwear Lipglass

On on a whim, I decided to pick up M.A.C Pro Longwear Lipglass. I’m not sure where this whim came from because I haven’t worn lip gloss since high school. It’s not something I typically wear or buy. But there I was in M.A.C yesterday and I decided to give it a go.

Pro Longwear Lipglass is tasked with being a long wearing gloss that goes on smooth and lasts for up to six hours! This I had to test:

8:45am – Before running out my apartment, I applied about two coats of Pro Longwear Lipglass in Ready or Not. I smooched my lips together to make sure the coating was nice and even.

9:05am – As I walked into work I ran into a co-worker. “How do you like this colour on me?” I asked. My lips were definitely shiny with colour.

11:00am – Half a bottle of water, no re-application.

2:00pm – After lunch, time to touch up my lips, powder my nose and get ready for those afternoon meetings.

3:00pm – Afternoon tea, but my lips still feel moist. A little less shiny but the left over colour is still enough to get me through until home time.

Now I’m a believer! I’m so glad I tried this. For my test, I wore Ready or Not by itself (pictured above), but today I’ve layered it over Velvet Teddy matte lipstick for an opulent nude look. At $20 a piece, Pro Longwear Lipglass is at an alright price point. It’s less formal than lipstick, especially during the day at work. Plus it’s a lot less maintenance.
