For the past week, some co-workers and I have been doing the Cityline 21-Day Boot Camp. The Challenge? Over the course of 21 days, create new behavioral patterns in our eating and lifestyle to make permanent changes in our health. We’ve only been doing it for a week so there’s still plenty of time to join in. Are you ready to get on board with us?
As part of the Cityline 21-Day Boot Camp, Dr. Joey Shulman, a health and nutrition specialist, is dishing out meal plans, tips and recipes that are filled with detoxifying foods, foods that are anti-inflammatory and foods that are delicious and nutrient dense. Each day, she’s also providing health tips and super food suggestions. The plan is super simple, so you can follow along easily.
Since I’ve been doing it with friends, I’ve been keeping up. I actually get excited to do my meal preps. I don’t cook every day. I prep about every three days. Not only is each meal yummy and filling, but they’re each quick and easy to make, store and pack for work.
I have to admit, there are a few things on the meal list that I’ve never tried before this Challenge – like hemp hearts and cacao nibs to name a few. But I like following along and trying all these new recipes and super foods.
So far so good. My tummy feels great! I’m less bloaty and gassy, and I think it’s even lifted my mood. Here are some of the other benefits of the 21-day boot camp:
- Improved energy and decreased “brain fog”
- Cessation of sugar, carbohydrate or salt cravings
- Optimized digestion and reduced feelings of bloating (yes!)
- Improved sleep
- Weight loss
I’ve been in such a great mood for the past few weeks. I’m definitely keeping this up for the full 21 days. You should totally join us!
